Day 1

Morning:

·      Overview of the workshop’s goals and anticipated outcomes, along with information about the competition to reward participants’ podcasts.

·      Introduction to the principles of biodiversity conservation.

• Instruction on conducting podcast research, including techniques for gathering materials.

Afternoon:

·      Instruction on writing for podcasts, covering different podcast types and their specific writing styles and grammar, techniques to enhance entertainment value, and developing compelling openings and closings.

Day 2

Morning:

·      Training on using the Vactors web app and platform, including scripting podcasts in the Vactors format, utilizing collaborative writing features, recording procedures, inviting others to participate in recordings, selecting diverse casts for production, and publishing and sharing podcasts.

Afternoon:

·      Instruction on the audio elements of podcasting, covering voice techniques (including tones, expression, and pacing), and the integration of audio effects and music.

Morning / Afternoon:

·      Review of competition submission deadlines, judging criteria, and potential outcomes.

·      Guided session for participants to work on their podcasts.

·      Recap of the concepts and skills learned during the workshop.
